Inaugural Clarks Summit Goes Pink race
The inaugural Clarks Summit Goes Pink race starts Saturday at 10 a.m. at Davis and Zimmerman streets. The 5K run is expected to finish around 11:30 a.m. The event also includes a 1-mile Fun Walk and Kids’ 1-Mile Fun Walk, plus a community block party, starting at noon on Spring Street. NEPA Horror: Spooky Summer 2026
NEPA Horror Fest is resurrecting Spooky Summer at Circle Drive-In on Saturday and Sunday from noon-2 a.m., with actors Michael Bower and Shaun Weiss, as well as live music, food, vendors, performances and movies. School supply and backpack drive
The Greater Pittston Chamber Women’s Network will host a backpack, school supply and hygiene drive Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Greater Pittston Chamber, 104 Kennedy Blvd. Donations for the Pittston Area and Wyoming Area school districts will be accepted. Wyoming Valley RiverFest
After being rained out in June, the Wyoming Valley RiverFest Saturday Festival Paddle has been rescheduled to Saturday. Meet at Nesbitt Park, 183 Market St., Kingston, by 8 a.m. Shuttle to the launch, enjoy a scenic guided paddle down the Susquehanna River and arrive back at Nesbitt Park for the RiverFest celebration. Island Park Festival
The annual Island Park Festival is Saturday from 2-10 p.m. at Island Park in Schuylkill Haven. The event features music by Another Side, The Rockin’ Apostles and the Radioactive Munsters. Also find activities for all ages, food and a beer garden. Admission is $5 per person and ages 4 and under are free. Bring lawn chairs.
