Bonita “Bonnie” Louise Albaugh
OBITUARY
Bonita “Bonnie” Louise Albaugh, 78, passed away on July 30, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of strength, joy, and unmatched determination. She lived her life with ferocity and never gave up.
Bonnie was a woman of remarkable resilience and an unwavering work ethic. She brought her sharp mind and fierce determination to her career at MCI Telecom, where she excelled as a leader in the facilities department. Managing a large team and overseeing more than a million square feet of space, Bonnie earned the deep respect of her colleagues for her ability to handle any challenge with grace and capability.
While she was a powerhouse in her professional life, Bonnie also knew how to embrace the pure joy of living. She had an enduring love for music, especially her beloved disco. Renowned for her dancing and choreography talents, she effortlessly mastered genres ranging from tap, ballet, and jazz to contemporary styles. Her vibrant spirit and energy could light up any room, reminding everyone around her to find reasons to dance through life’s trials.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Albaugh, and her sister, Pamela Witmer.
Her resilient spirit lives on in the hearts of her family. Her daughter, Allison O’Donnell, will always be profoundly grateful for the countless ways her mother shaped her life—from reading to her as a child (always complete with the voices) to constantly reminding her that success is born of hard work rather than raw talent. Bonnie is also survived by her three brothers: Michael Witmer, Kim Witmer, and Steven Witmer.
A memorial service will be held at a future date, when Bonnie will be laid to rest and reunited with her husband at the Georgia National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bonnie’s honor to the Oklahoma Caregiver Coalition to support the vital work of caregivers.
