BERKS COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A Reading man was killed Monday night in a motorcycle crash, the Berks County Coroner’s Office confirmed.
Luis Antonio Cruz Hernandez, 22, crashed into an SUV at the intersection of North 9th and Green Streets, according to the coroner’s office. He was later pronounced dead at Reading Hospital.
Reading police attempted to stop Cruz Hernandez for a traffic violation and allegedly speeding, the coroner’s office said.
Cruz Hernandez then attempted to flee police on his motorcycle, which led to the crash, according to the coroner’s office.
The cause of death was determined to be multiple blunt force injuries, and the manner of death was ruled accidental, according to autopsy results on Wednesday.
“The Berks County Coroner’s Office extends its sincere condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Mr. Cruz Hernandez during this difficult time,” the coroner’s office said.
