BERKS COUNTY, Pa. — Bridgework will be conducted on the Pennsylvania Turnpike from Berks to Chester County on Sunday from midnight to 5 a.m.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission says Interstate 76 will be closed between the Downingtown (Exit 312) and Morgantown (Exit 298) interchanges on Sunday.
This will affect all travelers going westbound. Eastbound traffic will be able to proceed normally through the corridor, the commission says.
The following detour will be in place for westbound traffic at Downingtown:
PA 100 North, 9 miles
PA 23 West, 12.4 miles
PA 10 North, 1 mile
Vehicles can re-enter PA Turnpike at Morgantown Interchange (Exit 298), the commission says.
Pennsylvania State Police and PA Turnpike personnel will be positioned at the impacted areas to assist drivers.
Pa. Turnpike officials encourage drivers to plan travel accordingly. Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions, they say.
