Major Crimes Unit investigates shooting on Erie’s east side

Erie police responded to a shots-fired call on Erie’s east side Wednesday morning.

Calls went out around 11:16 a.m. for a shooting in the 900 block of East 8th Street.

According to City of Erie Police Chief Rick Lorah, no one was hit in the shooting.

However, there was a woman inside one of the vehicles that was hit.

The Erie Police Major Crimes Unit is investigating.
