HUGHESTOWN — Borough councilwoman Marie Griglock was honored at this past week’s August council meeting for her years of dedication and lifetime of service to Hughestown.
In addition to being recognized by borough Manager Joey Jones for Griglock’s duties with the borough, State Rep. Jim Haddock presented Griglock with citation from The House of Representatives from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Jones then presented Griglock with a plaque in gratitude for her work and accomplishments over the decades to the Borough of Hughestown.
Griglock was surprised by the offering by borough officials and had no forewarning of the presentation leaving her speechless.
“I can’t believe they did this for me,” Griglock said, and thanked borough officials for such an honor.
Family, friends and borough officials celebrated with pizza, beverages and a congratulatory cake at the conclusion of the regular council session.
