If your kids love to tinker, build, or get creative, mark your calendar: Erie Makes is back November 17–22, 2025 — and it’s happening across the Erie County Public Library system, including the Blasco Library, local branch libraries and partner sites.

This free, weeklong celebration of creativity, curiosity, and hands-on learning invites families and teens to explore the maker movement through art, tech, and innovation. From 3D design to soapmaking, acrylic pours, and tie-dye projects, it’s a chance to spark imagination and discover how fun learning can be.

What Is Erie Makes?

Erie Makes celebrates the maker spirit — a national movement that encourages people of all ages to learn by doing. The library’s Idea Lab and branches will host dozens of events where kids, teens, and adults can make, build, and experiment with tools, materials, and technology.

Expect hands-on workshops, take-and-make kits, and creative experiences that combine STEAM learning (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) in fun, accessible ways.
