Man accused of stabbing individual in parking lot of South Side Giant Eagle
PITTSBURGH —
One person was taken to the hospital, and another was taken into custody after an altercation led to a stabbing outside a Giant Eagle store in Pittsburgh on Saturday, officials said.
Pittsburgh Public Safety said police were called to the 2000 block of Wharton Street following reports of a stabbing.
Arriving officers found an adult man in the Giant Eagle parking lot with a puncture wound above his knee. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Police were told that an altercation took place before the stabbing.
Officials took another man into custody in connection with the incident. Charges are expected to be filed.
