An Allentown man was found guilty this week of raping a woman he let inside his home three years ago, according to authorities.

A jury on Wednesday found Felix Pagan guilty on felony charges of rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and strangulation for the incident that happened at Jan. 13, 2022, Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin Holihan said in a news release.

The DA said the Pagan let the woman, who was homeless at the time, into his home in the 200 block of North Seventh Street so she could get warm. While inside, he raped her, authorities said.

She was able to flee and immediately reported the incident to police. Swabs taken from the victim matched Pagan’s DNA, police said.

Pagan faces a maximum sentence of 25 to 50 years in prison. He remains in Lehigh County Jail without bail while he awaits sentencing, which is scheduled for February.
