The Wyomissing Public Library will host a community conversation on health care on Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. Topics will include the impact of the state and federal budgets on health care, issues that Berks County residents face in light of these budgets, the work of the Berks Community Health Centers and the county medical association and whether there is a need for a city and/or county health department.
Berks Community Health Center Director Mary Kargbo will join Dr. Michael Baxter in the conversation, which will be facilitated by Dave Myers, senior fellow at the Berks County Community Foundation. Baxter is the retired chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Reading Hospital/Tower Health. He continues to care for patients with the Berks Free Medical Clinic and Faith Care Free Clinic.
The public is encouraged to attend. The library is at 9 Reading Blvd.
