A man who police said stole from vehicles that were parked outside a Berks County, Pennsylvania, casino led officers on a chase before being arrested.

According to the Caernarvon Township Police Department, Corporal William Smith and Officer William Kase were called to Hollywood Casino at 6021 Morgantown Road in Caernarvon Township around 1:18 a.m. on Aug. 15, 2026, after receiving a report of a person entering vehicles.

Police said casino staff reported that two employees’ vehicles had been gone through and personal belongings were stolen, including two wallets, $100, a gym bag and a basketball.

When Kase and Smith arrived at the scene, police said they saw the suspect, identified as Terrance Watson, 33, get into a silver sedan before fleeing the area.

Police said the pursuit ended when the sedan crashed into two properties on Main Street. Watson then fled on foot but was eventually arrested.

During the investigation, police learned that the vehicle Watson was driving had been reported stolen in Philadelphia.

Watson was taken into custody and charged with receiving stolen property, theft, fleeing police, resisting and other related charges, according to police.
