Power outages reported across Erie County Tuesday

(WJET/WFXP)– Penelec crews are working to restore power to roughly 2,000 customers across Erie County.

According to Penelec’s live outage map, 2,045 outages were reported as of 3:46 pm Tuesday across the county, mostly in Summit Township along with Waterford Borough and Township.

The map shows 664 customers in Waterford Borough are without power, and another 935 outages in the township. Summit Township had a reported 334 outages and 84 outages in McKean Township.

Power is estimated to be restored for residents in the red area on the map below around 5:30 pm. Crews have arrived at the scene to investigate the cause.

Residents in the orange area are estimated to have their power restored around 6 pm, according to Penelec.
