After 10 years of making music together, Erie’s First to Eleven celebrated a major milestone Tuesday night by headlining 8 Great Tuesdays in their hometown.
Lead singer Audra Miller says it’s surreal to look back at how far the band has come since they began posting videos and performing together 10 years ago.
“It’s so crazy to think that we’ve even been posting videos for ten years and playing around town in Erie for even longer than that,” Miller said.
This year alone, First to Eleven opened for The Fray at Erie Insurance Arena for the America 250 concert and performed at the arena for the first time.
Miller says the support from the Erie community has made those moments even more meaningful.
“It’s crazy to see how much support the Erie community has given us,” Miller said. “Everybody here—it’s so cool to see it in your hometown.”
The band has also maintained much of its original lineup, with other members having been part of the group for years.
Miller says their longevity comes down to how much they genuinely enjoy being together.
“We just have so much fun together,” she said. “We get to just travel the world together and do fun things together all the time.”
After a year of major performances across the country, Miller says returning home to headline 8 Great Tuesdays was the perfect way to celebrate 10 years of First to Eleven.
“We’ve had so many shows in Erie. We’ve played so many shows all over the country this year, and it’s just been so much fun,” Miller said. “We’re so excited to be here.”
First to Eleven will continue celebrating its milestone year with a tour this fall.
