DEKALB, Ill. (Rockford News First) – The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Tuesday afternoon, whom they say had several thousand doses of LSD, or acid, in his vehicle.
James Duane Hall, 50, of Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, is charged with controlled substance trafficking, unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, a narcotics detective conducted the traffic stop on Hall’s vehicle for multiple traffic violations near mile marker 106 of Interstate 88 in Maple Park.
During the traffic stop, a detective searched the vehicle and claims to have found 14,478 individual doses of Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD).
DeKalb deputies believe the amount the be the largest amount of LSD seized in the area.
Hall was arrested and taken to the DeKalb County Jail.
