Forget spending the whole day stressing over the turkey — these Pittsburgh restaurants, caterers and markets have you covered with Thanksgiving to go, so you can focus on the important stuff: sinking into your post-dinner couch coma and dodging that aunt’s unsolicited life advice. Just a heads-up: Some places are takeout or catering only, so double-check before showing up on Thanksgiving Day.

Here’s the rundown on who’s doing the cooking (and saving your sanity) this Thanksgiving.

Walter’s BBQ is here to cook your turkey Southern style. We’re talking smoked turkey, whole pork butt, mac and cheese, collard greens, cornbread, roasted carrots — the works. It’s Thanksgiving with soul.

Orders opened Nov. 1 and will close Wednesday, Nov. 27, (but expect a sellout sooner). Call 412-683-7474 to claim yours.

Have a control streak, but not enough to make an entire meal from scratch? Enter Local Provisions. They’ve got two types of turkey — Willie’s Smoked or a brined, trussed bird ready to roast. Plus, their side game is strong, with options like roasted Brussels sprouts, baked mac and cheese and cornbread and sausage stuffing. Don’t lift a finger (except to order) and coast through the week as if you did everything yourself. See the full menu and start your order using this Google Form.

Orders must be placed by Nov. 15, for pickup at Local Provisions on Nov. 26, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
