Marywood University welcomed new students Wednesday to its campus in Scranton and Dunmore. University staff, student volunteers and even the school’s mascot helped first-year students move in. The event marked the start of Marywood’s extended student orientation. The University of Scranton will welcome 40 first-year students Monday with a week of service, reflection and community engagement. First Years Involved in Reflective Service Together is a 24-year-old tradition in which students volunteer at local service sites.
