Emergency crews responded to an incident involving pedestrians near the entrance to the Evergreen Farms subdivision in Fairview Township Wednesday afternoon.
The call came in around 2:46 p.m. near the intersection of Avonia Road and Oakwilde Drive.
Initial emergency dispatch reports indicated that two pedestrians may have been struck, though officials have not yet confirmed that information. One is reportedly a 13-year-old.
Patients were transported by ambulance to the Fairview High School parking lot, where a medical helicopter landed on the school’s football field for patient transport.
Officials have not released details on the number of people injured or the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The intersection remained taped off Wednesday as Pennsylvania State Police troopers investigated.
