PITTSTON, LUZERNE CO. (WOLF) — In Pittston, a new take-out restaurant is set to open just in time for the Tomato Festival.
Rotten Tomato Meal Co. is the newest addition to Pittston’s South Main Street that aims to serve homemade comfort food for people on the go.
Open 7 days a week, the restaurant specializes in hot or cold meal prepped dishes for everyone to enjoy and will feature a rotating seasonal menu.
Co-owners Michael Langdon and Kristen Favata say the idea started as a way for people to get quality meals fast and after months of preparation, they’re almost ready to open their doors.
“It’s our goal to be available to the largest demographic possible,” said co-owner Michael Langdon. “You know, we want our pricing to be fair. We want everybody to be able to get homemade food and overall, we really hope to make everybody’s lives just a little bit easier.”
The duo says it’s been a push to finish in time but that they think everyone will be surprised when Rotten Tomato Meal Co. opens at 2p.m. on Thursday during the Pittston Tomato Festival.
