Emmaus first responders host back-to-school event for community re-fueling before classes begin | Allentown Area

EMMAUS, Pa. — Teachers, staff, and kids aren’t the only ones getting ready for the new school year.

First responders are, too.

Police, firefighters, and EMS workers in Emmaus hosted a back-to-school event Wednesday at the Wawa on South Cedar Crest Boulevard.

They shared information about safety with kids and their families, and gave out free snacks and school supplies.

The event was a way to “re-fuel” the community before school starts.
