Tree crashes onto car on Parkway East in Pittsburgh, smashing windshield in heavy rain
PITTSBURGH —
Crews shut down a lane on the inbound side of Parkway East after a tree fell onto a car during Thursday’s heavy rainfall.
Officials were on the scene near the Britton Road overpass after a tree smashed the windshield of a vehicle.
The incident has led to major backups between Wilkinsburg and Edgewood/Swissvale.
Drivers are urged to find alternate routes if possible.
