SPRING TWP, Pa. – First-year move-in is taking place across Berks County Thursday with students unpacking at Penn State Berks, Albright College, and Kutztown University.
On Thursday morning, students, staff, and parents were seen helping freshmen move in to their new homes.
As move-in is scheduled for all day, activity is fluctuating by the hour and will continue through Thursday night.
Earlier this morning, 69 News crews were at Albright College in Reading as students moved in there.
The college had student organizations and athletes helping freshmen and their families unload their belongings to bring into dorms.
The atmosphere was welcoming, with music playing and lots of energy as excitement builds for the students getting ready to take that first step toward college life.
Albright says there will be several orientation events held this weekend for students to meet their classmates and make new friends.
At Penn State Berks, student-athletes have already moved in, and upperclassmen will be arriving this weekend.
