A Northampton County woman killed in a crash earlier this week was remembered as a good-natured, “one-of-a-kind” person who will be sorely missed.
Hailey Weil, 21, of Moore Township, died in a crash Monday on Airport Road in Hanover Township, Lehigh County. Her aunt started an online fundraiser through GoFundMe to support Weil’s family following her death.
Weil adored animals, including her pet dogs, and was a car enthusiast who regularly attended the Coffee and Car shows in Bethlehem, her family said.
She had a creative talent that was displayed through her nail artistry, which her family said became one of her “greatest passions in life.” Her family wrote in her obituary that it was not just a hobby, but a form of self-expression for her.
Weil also cherished spending time with friends, and sought adventure and joy through shared experiences, her family said.
“She was 21 years old and spent her life as a shining light to all who knew her and her infectious spirit touched the hearts of many,” her obituary reads.
As of Thursday, about $12,000 of the GoFundMe’s $35,000 goal has been raised.
