A scandal in Happy Valley has once again captured the attention of the nation – this time in relation to an alleged cocaine-trafficking ring purportedly led by members of two fraternities at Penn State. This week, Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced charges against 13 current and former Penn State students (and one of their dads) for their participation in what he called a “coordinated and highly profitable” cocaine-trafficking operation. The internet has had plenty of fun with the news, christening Agostino Abbatiello – the alleged ringleader and a member of Sigma Chi – as Pablo Pledgescobar, Snow Paterno and BlowPa. As some posters pointed out, the scandal will likely give a whole new meaning to this year’s White Out game.
