Breezy Thursday, diminishing winds by evening today in south-central Pennsylvania

Showers return late Friday into early Saturday, and another chance of rain is in the forecast Sunday. A big cool down is expected for the area heading into next week. We tell you when in the article and video

BRAD HICKS REPORTING. WEATHER IMPACTS. THESE NEXT FEW DAYS, WE ARE LOOKING AT SOME BREEZY CONDITIONS PERSISTING FOR THIS AFTERNOON, BUT THEY WILL BEGIN TO RELAX AS WE GET INTO THURSDAY EVENING AND COOLER DOWN INTO THE 50S. SEASONABLE FOR TOMORROW. WE ARE EXPECTING SOME SHOWERS AFTER DARK AS WE GET INTO FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. WE ARE LOOKING AT SOME MORNING SHOWERS AND TURNING PARTLY SUNNY AND HELPING TO DRY OUT A BIT AS WE GET INTO SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND INTO THE EVENING. SO FOR THE REST OF THE DAY TODAY, LOOK AT PARTLY TO MOSTLY SUNNY CONDITIONS, BREEZY AND COOLER, BUT THE WINDS WILL DIMINISH AS WE GET INTO LATER IN THE DAY. 54 TO 58 DEGREES, SO SOME GUSTS COULD REACH 30MPH BEFORE THE WINDS BEGIN TO DIMINISH WITH WITH SUSTAINED WINDS OUT OF THE NORTHWEST AT 10 TO 20MPH. THEN FOR TONIGHT, INCREASING CLOUDS CALM AND CHILLY DOWN INTO THE 30S. YOU CAN SEE THE WIND SIGNIFICANTLY CALM DOWN TO THAT FIVE MILE PER HOUR RANGE COMING OUT OF THE SOUTHEAST. THEN, FOR TOMORROW AFTERNOON, WE’RE LOOKING AT A MIX OF SOME CLOUDS AND SOME SUNSHINE. BREEZY. ONCE AGAIN, THE BREEZE DOES KICK BACK UP. COULD GUST TO 30MPH ONCE AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME AT 10 TO 20 MILE PER HOUR. BREEZE OUT OF THE SOUTH SOUTHWEST. I’M ANTICIPATING A CHANCE OF SOME EVENING SHOWERS AS OUR NEXT COLD FRONT PUSHES THROUGH, AND THAT SHOULD ALLOW FOR SOME MORE FOR SOME MORE RAIN CHANCES. BUT LAST NIGHT I DON’T KNOW IF YOU HEARD IT, BUT WE HAD SOME SERIOUS WINDS COMING THROUGH THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY. LOOK AT SOME OF THESE WIND GUSTS. REPORTS THAT WE GOT 54 MILE PER HOUR GUSTS IN LANDISVILLE, 51 MILE PER HOUR GUSTS IN NEWPORT, A 44 MILE PER HOUR. 44 MILE PER HOUR GUSTS REPORTED IN HUMMELSTOWN AND THOMASVILLE, AND A 40 MILE PER HOUR GUST IN NEWVILLE. BUT CURRENT WINDS RIGHT NOW, THEY’RE NOT AS GUSTY AS LAST NIGHT, BUT THERE IS A LITTLE BIT OF A BREEZE, I’D SAY BETWEEN A 15 TO 20 MILE PER HOUR RANGE IN TERMS OF THE WIND SPEEDS, PREDICTOR, SUSTAINED WINDS, THOUGH, KIND OF JUST INDICATING THAT WE’LL BEGIN TO RELAX AS HIGH PRESSURE BEGINS TO MOVE OVER THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY SO WE CAN THANK HIGH PRESSURE FOR THE RELAXED WINDS, TEMPERATURES INTO THE 50S AT THIS TIME. STORM TEAM, LIVE RADAR NETWORK. THANKS TO INCOMING HIGH PRESSURE HELPING TO CLEAR OUR SKIES. ALSO GIVING US SOME SOME FAIR WEATHER CLOUDS. YOU CAN SEE HIGH PRESSURE SETTLED RIGHT IN OVERHEAD, BUT AS HIGH PRESSURE STARTS TO SCOOCH OFFSHORE, WE DO GET A LITTLE BIT OF AN INCREASE OF SOME CLOUD COVER FOR YOUR FRIDAY MORNING AND ALSO AN INCREASE IN THE TEMPERATURES WE’LL GET INTO THE 60S, BUT HERE COMES OUR NEXT COLD FRONT THAT’S GOING TO PUSH THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING. ALSO THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING. SO YOU MAY SEE A LINGERING SHOWER OR TWO AS WE GET INTO SATURDAY MORNING. SO THAT’S WHY WE HAVE THAT MORNING SHOWER CHANCE ON TAP FOR US AS WE GET INTO SATURDAY. BUT THE SKIES DO CLEAR ONCE AGAIN, GIVING US PARTLY SUNNY CONDITIONS, AND WE’LL START TO CLOUD UP ONCE AGAIN AS WE GET INTO OUR SATURDAY AND ALSO OUR SUNDAY. SO WE ARE LOOKING AT SOME SCATTERED SHOWER CHANCES. SPEAKING OF THE SECOND HALF OF THE WEEKEND, ALONG WITH SHOWER CHANCES PERSISTING FOR YOUR MONDAY. SO GOOD NEWS, WE DEFINITELY NEED THE RAIN. BUT LOOK AT THIS I WANTED TO SHOW YOU. LOOK AT THESE TEMPERATURES GETTING DOWN INTO THE 40S, A BIG COOLDOWN COMING ON THE WAY AS WE GET INTO MONDAY AND TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. LOOKING AT THE REST OF THE TEN DAY FORECAST, GETTING INTO THE 50S FOR WEDNESD
