BERKS COUNTY, Pa. – To take impaired drivers off the road, the North Central Regional DUI Enforcement Program says it will be conducting DUI enforcement through the end of September in Berks County.
According to police, those increased enforcement operations will begin this weekend.
Police say they will be vigilant in roving patrols and conducting sobriety checkpoints on area roadways, looking for impaired drivers.
Berks County Police officers say they will be apprehending impaired drivers to make roadways safer.
Police say if your plans before heading back to college include saying goodbye to hometown friends this weekend, please do so safely.
Sobriety Checkpoints and Roving Patrols are funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
