The Friends of the Abington Community Library recently awarded scholarships to graduating seniors of the library’s Teen Leadership Committee. This committee provides students with volunteer opportunities, including organizing and facilitating programming for children, assisting with library fundraisers and selling baked goods at library book sales. The Friends of the Abington Community Library use money from membership dues and fundraising to benefit the library through the purchase of new materials, library programming and scholarships to graduating seniors of the TLC.
