Erie’s Ainsworth Field has been creating baseball memories for more than 100 years, and now, some members of the community are hoping that tradition continues for generations to come.
Friday night was Ainsworth Field Community Day, giving Erie residents an opportunity to learn more about potential renovations to the historic field, improvements to the adjacent tennis courts and upgrades to the Erie High softball diamond.
The event was organized through a partnership between the Royals Baseball Boosters and the Erie School District, with the goal of keeping the community informed about the proposed improvements and the future of the athletic facilities.
