Those making outdoor plans in the Lehigh Valley this weekend should keep an eye on the sky.

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly, New Jersey, said things will be unsettled through Sunday with scattered showers and thunderstorms. The stronger of those may come Sunday in the morning or the afternoon, with damaging wind gusts possible.

“(Computer models) showing the potential for some strong to possibly severe thunderstorms mainly north and west of Philadelphia and into northern New Jersey after midnight tonight and into the pre-dawn hours Sunday morning,” the weather service said in its Saturday morning forecast discussion. “Locally heavy rain may lead to instances of localized flash flooding in these areas as well.”

Unsettled through tomorrow with multiple rounds of scattered showers and thunderstorms expected through tomorrow afternoon.

While the worst of the weather wasn’t expected until Sunday, rain was also possible Saturday afternoon, with a high of 77 degrees expected. There is a 30% chance of precipitation.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to arrive after midnight. The chance of precipitation is 70% with a low temperature of 65. New rainfall amounts between a tenth- and quarter-of-an-inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

After the rain passes Sunday, it will be partly sunny with a high of 79.
