Authorities are investigating a two-alarm fire last weekend that left a Robeson Township home in ruins.
The fire was reported Sunday shortly before 4 a.m. in the 300 block of Furnace Road. According to initial dispatches, the initial call reported there was a burglary in progress and that the roof was on fire. The homeowner stated she wasn’t on her property, a dispatcher is heard saying.
Around the same time, a neighbor also reported the 1 1/2 -story home was on fire.
Based on the initial information provided, the first-responding crew from Geigertown Fire Company waited at nearby High Point Baptist Academy for Robeson Township police to arrive.

Police arrived a short time later and gave the all-clear for fire crews to proceed to the scene.
Officers from Geigertown arrived to find the roof of the house engulfed in fire.
The Exeter Township Fire Department arrived with an engine tanker and aerial ladder truck.
The fire scene commander requested a second alarm, drawing crews from northern Lancaster and Chester counties to assist southern Berks companies.
Tanker trucks shuttled water to a temporary fill site at the Baptist church. No injuries were reported.
An investigation by the state police Troop L fire marshal’s unit continues to determine the cause and manner of the fire.
