A man was shot and killed in Camden on Thursday morning, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office said.

At approximately 6:41 a.m., police responded to the 1200 block of Chase Street and found an unconscious man who had been shot. He was found on the porch of a residence, officials said.

The victim, Premire Wilson, 26, was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 7:25 a.m., according to the prosecutor’s office.

The investigation remains ongoing.
