ALLENTOWN, Pa. — More than 500 DeSales University freshmen were welcomed like celebrities at move-in day on Sunday, including Lexy Sieja and Lauren O’Brien who are beginning their college journeys.
“Pretty nervous, but it seems exciting,” said Sieja.
“Very nervous, but it looks very exciting so far,” said Lauren O’Brien.
Students, like sophomore Molly Alff are here offering a helping hand
making move-in day as easy as possible.
“It means so much honestly. This program helped me so much as a freshman and I’m so happy to be able to give back to the people who help this community honestly, I really do,” said Alff.
Vice president of student life Brian Mauro said students are arriving from all over the country.
“A lot of energy, a lot of positivity as we hope to help them accomplish their hopes and dreams and lead them to a successful career and a great four years coming ahead,” said Mauro.
Students said there is a lot to look forward to.
“Definitely meeting new people and connecting with our lacrosse team more, so super excited,” said O’Brien.
Mauro has this message.
