A 37-year-old man was shot twice in North Philadelphia’s Frankford neighborhood on Sunday night, police said.
The shooting occurred at around 9 p.m. along Salem Street, police said, after a man in a car rolled down the window and fired a rifle.
The man was hit twice — once in the chest — and then ran into a home on the block, police said.
The man was taken to the hospital and his condition is unknown at this time, police said.
The shooter took off in an unidentified car and has not been seen since, police said.
The motive is under investigation, but investigators believe the two knew each other, police said.
Anyone with any information on the incident is urged to contact the Philadelphia Police Department at 215-686-TIPS (8477) or anonymously online here.
The shooting was the latest in a violent night in North Philadelphia. A double shooting and a deadly hit-and-run were also under investigation.
