ADAMS COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A North Carolina man allegedly led Pennsylvania State Police on a 120-mph chase down Route 15 Monday morning.
Troopers said they tried to stop Ikwaan Dobbins, 46, of Cary, North Carolina, just before 8 a.m. for an expired registration.
During the traffic stop, Dobbins allegedly drove away, leading state police on a chase that reached speeds higher than 120 mph.
Pennsylvania State Police stopped the pursuit due to “concerns for public safety,” according to a press release, but charges were still filed Monday against Dobbins.
He’s charged with fleeing or attempting to elude officer, a felony offense, along with multiple summary traffic offenses.
Online court records indicate he has not yet been arrested.
