Tecza and the Steelers agreed on a contract Monday, Teresa Varley of the team’s official website reports.
Tecza will join his lifelong buddy and fellow running back Eli Heidenreich in Pittsburgh. The two players have known each other since first grade, and they played football together at Navy. Tecza went undrafted in this year’s draft, and he’s likely competing for a practice squad spot this season.
