HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – An ordinance putting safeguards in place for Flock technology in Huntington is now moving forward.
Huntington City Council took up that ordinance on Monday night, moving it to a second reading with one amendment.
That amendment strengthens non-discrimination rules for camera placement, banning sites selected “solely or in part” based on characteristics like race or color.
The amendment now moves to a second reading at the next City Council meeting, which is scheduled for Sept. 14.
