The 14th annual Capt. James R. Minicozzi Memorial Race, through the UNICO Scranton Chapter, will take place Saturday, Sept. 5, at 10 a.m. in downtown Scranton during La Festa Italiana. Preregistration is $25 at runsignup.com/Minicozzi through Tuesday, Aug. 25. All preregistered participants are guaranteed an official race T-shirt and a voucher for a free virtual Yin Yoga class, courtesy of Yoga West. Race-day registration is $35 and will be held from 8-9:30 a.m. at Linden Street and North Washington Avenue. Proceeds benefit the children of the Boys & Girls Clubs of NEPA for their annual Christmas party and college scholarships at Minicozzi’s alma mater, West Scranton High School.
