Diminishing winds this evening, increasing clouds later tonight in south-central Pennsylvania
Showers return late Friday into early Saturday, and another chance of rain is in the forecast Sunday. A big cool down is expected for the area heading into next week.
PROGRAMS. WELL, THE BREEZE WILL BEGIN TO RELAX AS WE HEAD INTO THE REST OF THE EVENING AND ALSO GETTING INTO THE OVERNIGHT PERIOD. WE ARE TRACKING SOME SHOWER CHANCES AS WE GET INTO LATE FRIDAY, ESPECIALLY ALSO GETTING INTO EARLY SATURDAY MORNING AND THEN ONCE AND ALSO FOR FOR SUNDAY AND ALSO FOR MONDAY. BUT THE STORY FOR MONDAY, GETTING INTO THE BEGINNING OF THE WORKWEEK IS THIS BIG COOLDOWN THAT WE’RE EXPECTING. TEMPERATURES ARE GOING TO DROP TO THE 40S TO THE LOWER TO MID 40S AS WE GET INTO THE AFTERNOON FOR THE BEGINNING OF THE WORKWEEK. NOW, EARLIER LAST NIGHT HEARD THOSE HOWLING WINDS HITTING THE SIDE OF OUR HOUSE. WE HAD A 62 MILE PER HOUR GUST REPORTED AT MIDDLETOWN AND REIDSVILLE, 61 MILE PER HOUR GUSTS. THIS IS ALL REPORTED BY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE. BY THE WAY, THE CAPITAL CITY AIRPORT, A 54 MILE PER HOUR GUST. AND ALSO IN LITITZ, FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, AROUND A 47 MILE PER HOUR GUST. SO DEFINITELY WINDY LAST NIGHT, BUT DIFFERENT STORY FOR THIS EVENING. THE WINDS WILL BEGIN TO RELAX THANKS TO HIGH PRESSURE THAT’S BUILDING INTO THE AREA. 42 TO 46 DEGREES FOR THIS EVENING. INCREASING CLOUDS CALM AND CHILLY AS WE GET INTO THE OVERNIGHT PERIOD, 34 TO 38 DEGREES AND THEN FOR THE AFTERNOON TOMORROW, WE’RE LOOKING AT A MIX OF SOME CLOUDS AND SOME SUNSHINE. A LITTLE BIT BREEZY. ONCE AGAIN, I WILL SAY WE COULD GUST IN SOME ISOLATED AREAS TO RIGHT AROUND 30MPH, BUT WE’LL SEE A SUSTAINED WIND BETWEEN 10 AND 20MPH OUT OF THE SOUTH SOUTHWEST. I AM EXPECTING TO SEE SOME SHOWERS LATE IN THE DAY, OR ESPECIALLY CLOSER TO SUNSET AS WE GET TO FRIDAY. LEAF CLOUD FORECAST, THOUGH, FOR THE MAJORITY OF YOUR DAY, WILL BE REMAINING DRY. SHOWERS COMING IN LATE LATER IN THE DAY, SO I WOULD RATE THAT AS GOOD FOR YOUR FRIDAY. SATURDAY RATED THAT AS GOOD BECAUSE WE’RE ONLY REALLY LOOKING AT A FEW MORNING SHOWERS INTO THE LOWER 60S. THE REST OF THE AFTERNOON LOOKS GOOD. SUNDAY. SEEING SEEING A CHANCE OF SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS. SO RATED THAT AS FAIR FOR SUNDAY AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES INTO THE 50S RIGHT NOW AND STORM TEAM LIVE RADAR NETWORK. ALL IS QUIET THANKS TO HIGH PRESSURE THAT’S BUILT IN OVER THE AREA. AND THAT’S JUST GOING TO BE SITTING OVERHEAD AS WE GET INTO THE REST OF THE THE NIGHT TONIGHT, GETTING INTO TOMORROW, HIGH PRESSURE DOES START TO SHIFT OFFSHORE A LITTLE BIT. DOES BRING IN SOME MILDER AIR FROM THE SOUTH. ALLOWS FOR THE TEMPERATURES TO REACH THE 60S AS WE GET INTO TOMORROW AFTERNOON. THEN HERE COMES OUR NEXT COLD FRONT THAT’S GOING TO OFFER SOME OF THAT. THAT NEXT SHOWER CHANCE FOR US GETTING THROUGH THE DAY. COLD FRONT PUSHES THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING COULD SEE A LINGERING SHOWER OR TWO FOR SATURDAY MORNING. BUT AS OF RIGHT NOW, SOME OF THE LATEST DATA IS SUGGESTING THAT WE MAY NOT GET A WHOLE LOT OF SOME SHOWERS, MAY SEE A LINGERING SHOWER. RATHER, AS WE GET INTO SATURDAY MORNING. REST OF THE DAY LOOKS LIKE IT IS BECOMING DRY. JUST SOME SOME FAIR, FAIR WEATHER. CLOUDS COMING INTO THE PICTURE. NOW I WANT TO SHOW YOU SUNDAY. WE ARE LOOKING AT SOME SHOWER CHANCES, SOME SCATTERED SHOWER CHANCES. MOVING IN ON TO MONDAY. I WANTED TO PAUSE. HERE WE ARE SEEING A CHANCE OF SOME SHOWERS ALONG, ESPECIALLY IF YOU’RE TUNING IN FROM MIFFLIN AND JUNIATA COUNTIES, MORE SO TOWARDS THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS. YOU MAY SEE A FLURRY OR TWO IN THE IN THE AFTERNOON OR THE EVENING AS WE GET INTO MONDAY AGAIN FOR THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS. NOW WE ARE SEEING TOWARDS WESTERN PA, YOU MIGHT SEE YOUR FIRST SNOWFALL IN TERMS OF IF YOU ARE GOING OUT TOWARDS PITTSBURGH ON MONDAY, MAY MIGHT SEE SOME SNOW, OR AT LEAST THE FIRST SNOW OF THE SEASON. 8 TO 14 DAY TEMPERATURE OUTLOOK FOR ITS. THAT’S VALID FOR THE 14TH THROUGH THE 20TH. LOOKING AT SLIGHTLY ABOVE AVERAGE TEMPERATURES IN TERMS OF THE 8 TO 14 DAY PRECIPITATION OUTLOOK, EQUAL CHANCES IN TERMS OF RAIN. AS WE GET INTO THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS HERE. SO TRACKING MULTIPLE SHOWER CHANCES AS WE GET INTO FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. ALSO FOR YOUR MONDAY. AND THEN ALSO NOT SO MUCH FOR YOUR TUESDAY, BUT WE ARE LOO
