WE ARE TRACKING SOME SHOWER CHANCES AS WE GET INTO LATE FRIDAY, ESPECIALLY ALSO GETTING INTO EARLY SATURDAY MORNING AND THEN ONCE AND ALSO FOR FOR SUNDAY AND ALSO FOR MONDAY. BUT THE STORY FOR MONDAY, GETTING INTO THE BEGINNING OF THE WORKWEEK IS THIS BIG COOLDOWN THAT WE’RE EXPECTING. TEMPERATURES ARE GOING TO DROP TO THE 40S TO THE LOWER TO MID 40S AS WE GET INTO THE AFTERNOON FOR THE BEGINNING OF THE WORKWEEK. NOW, EARLIER LAST NIGHT HEARD THOSE HOWLING WINDS HITTING THE SIDE OF OUR HOUSE. WE HAD A 62 MILE PER HOUR GUST REPORTED AT MIDDLETOWN AND REIDSVILLE, 61 MILE PER HOUR GUSTS. THIS IS ALL REPORTED BY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE. BY THE WAY, THE CAPITAL CITY AIRPORT, A 54 MILE PER HOUR GUST. AND ALSO IN LITITZ, FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, AROUND A 47 MILE PER HOUR GUST. SO DEFINITELY WINDY LAST NIGHT, BUT DIFFERENT STORY FOR THIS EVENING. THE WINDS WILL BEGIN TO RELAX THANKS TO HIGH PRESSURE THAT’S BUILDING INTO THE AREA. 42 TO 46 DEGREES FOR THIS EVENING. INCREASING CLOUDS CALM AND CHILLY AS WE GET INTO THE OVERNIGHT PERIOD, 34 TO 38 DEGREES AND THEN FOR THE AFTERNOON TOMORROW, WE’RE LOOKING AT A MIX OF SOME CLOUDS AND SOME SUNSHINE. A LITTLE BIT BREEZY. ONCE AGAIN, I WILL SAY WE COULD GUST IN SOME ISOLATED AREAS TO RIGHT AROUND 30MPH, BUT WE’LL SEE A SUSTAINED WIND BETWEEN 10 AND 20MPH OUT OF THE SOUTH SOUTHWEST. The wind will finally relax after sunset.Tonight, lows will fall to the low 30s. It will be mostly clear early, then clouds will increase toward sunrise.Friday will feature a mix of clouds and sunshine ahead of a cold front, which will bring scattered showers Friday evening through early Saturday. Highs will reach 60 degrees and the breeze will increase again. Expect sustained SW winds 10-20 mph, with gusts to 30 mph.Showers wrap up shortly after sunrise Saturday. A partly to mostly sunny afternoon is in store, with mild highs around 64 degrees.A more potent cold front will approach Sunday afternoon, bringing a chance of showers.
