The Heroes & Honor Community Block Party takes place at the West Scranton Youth Center in Scranton, PA, on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This free family-friendly event brings the community together to honor veterans and retired law enforcement officers while celebrating local pride and service.
The afternoon begins with a special Flag Raising Ceremony and memorial dedication recognizing the sacrifices of those who have served the country and community. Guests can also enjoy live music and entertainment, food and refreshments, ice cream, youth-led patriotic tributes, children’s games and activities, guided tours of the West Scranton Youth Center and fun for the whole family.
Admission is free, and everyone is invited to attend this meaningful day of remembrance, appreciation and community celebration.
