NAZARETH, Pa. – A new family-run dining establishment is serving up flavorful Mexican dishes, including burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas and tortas, in Northampton County.
Dos Hermanos, offering authentic Mexican cuisine, opened about two weeks ago at 6 S. Broad St. in Nazareth.
The updated space previously housed a location of Rice ‘N Beans.

Dos Hermanos is a family-run dining establishment, owned by Erasmo Brendy.
The restaurant serves appetizers such as guacamole, queso fundido and tamales; empanadas such as beef, chicken, fish and shrimp; and tortas such as a Cubana and Milanesa (breaded chicken or steak, with beans, queso fresco, lettuce, tomato, jalapenos, avocado, onion and chipotle sauce on the side).
Nearly a dozen specialty burritos includes options such as the “Buen Burrito” (chicken, chorizo and bacon, with rice, beans, jalapeno, pickled jalapenos, pico and guacamole inside, topped with cheese dip and sour cream) and “Burrito Vegetariano” (zucchini, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, tomato and spinach, served with white rice and black beans, sour cream and green sauce).
Guests also can choose from a variety of tacos, which come with onions, cilantro, cucumber, lime and corn tortillas, including al pastor, carnitas, chorizo, shrimp, chicken, steak, veggies or barbacoa.
Tacos supremos, which come with lettuce, tomato, sour cream, shredded cheese and flour tortillas, include a choice of ground beef, shredded beef or shredded chicken.

More than two dozen entrees include options such as huevos rancheros, ribeye con camarones (ribeye with four shrimp, served with rice and beans, green onions, jalapenos and tortillas), carne enchilada (two pieces of pork steak with onions and jalapenos, served with rice and beans and tortillas), chilaquiles (tortilla chips with cheese dip, fries, eggs, queso fresco and Oaxaca cheese, ranchera sauce and choice of topping, served with rice, lettuce, tomato and cream) and molcajete especial (chicken, steak, cactus, chorizo, shrimp, poblano pepper, fresh cheese, jalapenos and green onions, served with rice and beans).

Guests also can enjoy birria and seafood selections such as camarones a la diabla (shrimp, onions, spicy sauce, avocado, salad, cucumber and tortillas, served with white rice) and ceviche mixto (shrimp, imitation crab, mixed seafood, onion, lime and avocado, served with tostadas).
Other menu highlights include a wide array of soups, salads, nachos, enchiladas, fajitas, sopes and sides.
For individuals with a sweet tooth, the restaurant also offers desserts such as flan, churros, sopapillas and tres leches.
The new Dos Hermanos restaurant fills the South Broad Street spot that was previously home to a Rice ‘N Beans location, which closed earlier this summer.

Another location of Rice ‘N Beans continues to operate at 2330 Jacksonville Road in Hanover Township, Northampton County.
“Planning our near future retirement, we have sold our Nazareth location,” reads an Aug. 2 message on Rice and Beans’ Facebook page.

Dos Hermanos is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, offering dine-in and take-out services. Online ordering also is available.
