A 19-year-old is now on probation after allegedly starting a fire that damaged a home in 2025.

Dashinara Dorsey is facing a concurrent sentence of 23 months of probation.

Arson charges filed against Erie woman following east side house fire

The sentencing is for several counts of recklessly endangering another person and failure to prevent catastrophe.

According to police, Dorsey allegedly threatened to burn a home in the 2100 block of Wallace Street on September 10, 2025, after arguing with another person over money.

Minutes after making those threats, police accuse Dorsey of lighting a paper on fire in the first-floor living room, which was then extinguished by another person in the house.

Dorsey then went to the rear of the house, and after approximately six minutes, the house was discovered to be on fire.

At the time of the incident, four people were inside, including a four-year-old.

No one was injured.
