Classic car show returns to Macungie

The Wheels of Time Rod & Custom Jamboree returns to Macungie for its 47th year. Held over three days at Macungie Memorial Park, the event draws thousands each year for entertainment, food and, of course, cars.

Other highlights include Bruce Larson’s Nitro Start up, the Dialed Action BMX bike stunt show, live bands, a flea market and craft vendors, and more than 1,500 show cars.

In addition to celebrating the passion for street rods and custom vehicles, proceeds from the event support more than two dozen charitable organizations and scholarship programs.

The Friday Car Cruise also will return; some local roads will be closed during that event.

If you go: Friday through Sunday at Macungie Memorial Park, 50 Poplar St. Three-day pass is available for $30; daily passes are $15, free ages 15 and under. For a complete schedule, go to  wheelsoftime.org.
