WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. – A 34-year-old man is dead after a shooting in Whitehall Township Tuesday night.
It happened at the Olympic Gardens apartments in the 1200 block of Pericles Place. Lehigh County Coroner Dan Buglio confirmed his office was on the scene just after 11 p.m.
Buglio said the man was pronounced dead Tuesday just before 11 p.m.
The man died as a result of injuries sustained in the shooting, Buglio said. An autopsy Thursday will assist in determining the exact cause and manner of death.
Buglio said the man has been identified, but his identity is not being released at this time to allow his family and friends the opportunity to grieve.

Emergency communications dispatchers said the 911 call for the incident came in at 10:22 p.m.
Police have not confirmed if anyone else was injured in the shooting.
No word on if anybody has been arrested.
The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office, the Whitehall Township Police Department, and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office are investigating.
