(WHTM) — Pennsylvania is among the states that have reached a settlement with Meta. How will that affect users in the commonwealth?
Dave Sunday was among 52 attorneys general across the country who joined this settlement, with the deal contingent on Meta making major changes.
But Sunday says the Commonwealth is expected to receive $516 million over several years.

abc27 reached out to Sunday’s office to learn more about how this money will be spent, but they told us they would not give more details as they continue to “navigate what the process may look like.”
In Wednesday’s conference, Sunday emphasized why the changes coming to Meta platforms are just as important as the money.
“These are changes that matter because they directly address how young people interact with these platforms,” Sunday said. “We can’t simply tell parents to do better. While allowing technology companies to design platforms that are engineered to addict children and keep them coming back.”
Sunday says some of the changes Meta agreed to could be implemented as soon as next month. Others could take up to six months, though the settlement is still contingent on judicial approval.
