Infant 1 of 2 people reported to have died from measles in Pa. | Southeastern Pennsylvania

We’re learning more about the two measles deaths reported in the state earlier this week.

State health officials now say one of the victims was an infant from Lancaster County.

Both people who died were unvaccinated.

The deaths are the first linked to measles in Pennsylvania in 35 years and come as cases continue to climb across the state.

Pennsylvania has now confirmed more than 400 cases this year, with dozens of people hospitalized due to complications.

Health officials continue to urge families to stay up to date on the MMR vaccine.
