SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — A man with a criminal warrant is now under arrest after he barricaded himself inside a home in Scranton.
Thursday evening around 5:45, the Scranton Police Department’s Special Operations Group, with help from the Lackawanna County SWAT, assisted the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in resolving a situation in which a wanted man barricaded himself inside a home on Luzerne Street.
According to Scranton Police, Harold Gonzalez, 54, had a criminal warrant for aggravated assault and resisting arrest. He also had a state parole warrant violation.
Responding law enforcement used chemical munitions and then forced their way into the home before taking Gonzalez into custody.
