Dump truck and tanker collide in fatal crash on Pa. Turnpike | Upper Montgomery County

WHITPAIN TOWNSHIP, Pa. — One person died in a crash on the northeast extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike early Thursday morning. 

The wreck happened in Montgomery County in the northbound lanes just after 2 a.m.

A dump truck and what appears to be a small tanker truck collided in Whitpain Township. 

There’s still no word on how it happened or about the victim. 

The turnpike was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
