BERKS COUNTY, Pa. – Anyone looking for a pet may want to swing by the shelters tomorrow, as it’s National “Clear the Shelters” Day.
Humane Pennsylvania in Reading and the Animal Rescue League (ARL) in Cumru Township are both taking part in this national event.
Humane Pennsylvania says adoption fees will be waived for dogs, cats, and critters six months and older at the Berks Adoption Center.
The Berks Adoption Center is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for all interested adopters.
Additionally, the ARL is offering free adoptions for all available pets and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
