SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — Families and their four-legged friends gathered at Nay Aug Park for the Saint Cats and Dogs of Nay Aug Zoo’s Paws in the Park Family Fun Day and Adoption Event.
With games, raffles, food, and adoptable animals, all funds raised will go directly to six local foster-based rescues as they work to provide the best care for animals looking for their fur-ever home.
“It’s a great community that we try to help each other out because, you know, trying to get money in this country is very tough, but we try our best, especially for the animals and we do our best to help them,” Maureen Forman, a volunteer and foster mom for Animal Care Associates, said.
The local rescues splitting the proceeds are always searching for volunteers and fosters to help adopt the rescue animals inside of their shelters and at local adoption events like this one.
