READING, Pa. — August may be winding down, but did you know it’s “Clear the Shelter” month?
Many shelters are holding events this weekend to help get their furry friends adopted.
Freedom Center for Animal Life-Saving hosted theirs on Saturday.
All adoption fees were waived for cats, dogs, and critters six months and older.
“We have a lot of animals that always want our help and always need our help, and that adoption events like this are always helping, of course, animals into great homes,” Sydney Zeeger, client care representative at the center.
Shelter workers say it’s all about getting them into good homes.
