A murder-suicide was discovered after a barricade situation at a home in Philadelphia‘s Ogontz section on Sunday afternoon, police said.
Officers first responded to the 1600 block of Conlyn Street at around 1:51 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30, after a report of a gunshot heard inside a home, police said.
A barricade was declared by officers responding to the scene, which lasted until around 2: 50 p.m., police said.
Two adult women were found dead inside the home, and the investigators believe it was a murder-suicide, police said.
The identities of the two women involved have not been released at this time, and the nature of their relationship has not been established, police said. The motive has also yet to be determined, police added.
